The Panther Veteran Organization was incorporated in 1944 and its constitutions reads as follows:

Article III – Purpose
The object of the organization shall be to provide benevolent aid and assistance to members and their immediate families: to promote enduring friendships, fraternal associations and social activities among the members of the organization and to perpetuate the history and record the achievements of the 66th Infantry Division.
Article IV – Membership
Any person who has at any time been attached or assigned to the 66th Infantry Division while in the military service of the United States shall be eligible for active membership in the organization.
Article X – Dues
The national dues for each member shall be fixed at 5.00 per annum. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
A lot of time has passed since the constitution was written. Times have changed. Even though we have lost a number of our veterans, their wives and children continue to pay dues in honor of their heroes. The undeniable bond that the veterans of the 66th shared had now transcended generations. This bond has been growing stronger with each passing year, and now we have blossomed into this wonderful five generational organization.
In order to preserve this beloved organization, it was time for a change. Because of economics, the dues were changed to $10.00 per year. In 2003, the organization was in the midst of folding due to lack of an executive committee. Frank Bertino had such a love for the organization that he stepped up to the plate and was voted president of the organization, and continues to serve as our President. The organization flourished under his leadership and we truly became one family.
At our Nashville reunion, more changes were made. The active membership was opened up to all dues paying members thus allowing them voting privileges and securing the future of the PVO. And last year in New Orleans, a contingent board of directors was elected. The fate of the PVO rested on our shoulders and we made the necessary changes in order to continue the ideals that this organization was founded on.
Our beloved PVO is alive and well and stronger than ever, thanks to the loyalty of our dues paying members. We invite you look over our site and join our organization for your donation of $10.00 per year. Your dues entitles you to receive our newsletters, We write two newsletters per year ( the Spring edition and the Holiday edition). Each issue is filled with PVO news and updates and our current tap list. Your dues also will help in the preservation of the legacy and memories of the men who have valiantly served their country in the 66th Infantry Division.
